Fasting for an angel

David has had a cold and Peter joined him a few days later so they haven't been able to go up to the hospital to see Quincy.  I went up with Robyn after church today and spent a little time with this tiny little angel.  We arrived just in time for her to have her diaper changed, temperature taken and for the nurses to give her meds and do all the other things with machines and tubes and monitors.  Robyn amazes me with the calm, confident way she tends to Quincy.  I just love the way she talks to Quincy as she finishes off her diaper change.
Today they had to go back up on her oxygen to 50 percent- we don't like that but they told us we would have ups and downs.  She is digesting her milk better and so today they are increasing the milk she gets to 3 ml every three hours.  Hopefully she will begin to put a little weight on.  She is still at her birth weight.  Her nurse told me today that she is the smallest in the NICU and we would really like to lose that distinction.   She still hasn't opened her eyes but they say that should come any day.  It almost appeared that she was trying to this afternoon.
We have felt your prayers and been strengthened by your faith.  It means so much to us to know that we have loved ones petitioning the Lord in her behalf (and Peter and Robyn).
All in all we feel so very blessed.
