A little move...

Now that we are serving a mission in London, I am having a hard time finding time to blog both places.  Please join us for our adventures on our mission blog.  englandlondonmission-jordan.blogspot.com.
I may post now and again here....

best. day. ever.

Our Zachary is home after serving an honorable two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  He is wonderful.
I couldn't be happier.

one. week. from. today.

I can hardly believe it, but this time next week I will be hugging the one with the green glass.   sigh....

A Bountiful (High School) Life

Yesterday was the last regular-season, Bountiful High School lacrosse game the-man-of-my-dreams will coach.
(For at least three years.)
I have spent the past 8 years following the team around with a camera.
I have snapped photos through rain, sleet, snow, wind, fair skies, bitter cold, perfect temperatures and blistering heat.
(I sound like a mailman.)
Through the years I have focused on the field and what was, or wasn't, happening there.
Yesterday I focused my lens on the sideline, on one man.

I wanted to capture thrill of victory and the agony of defeat on the face of my best friend.
(Fortunately, there was more thrill than agony yesterday.)

After our boys graduated I thought that he would step away from coaching...

I mean, his law practice is crazy busy.

(Who coaches in a suit???)

But, he loves these boys.

He loves teaching them...

and he hopes he makes a difference.

I love watching him doing what he so loves.

I am going to miss this.

Something ...

This morning I have had an old song from Herman's Hermits running through my thoughts...weaving, in a way, through all of the little details that I need to get down on paper so I don't forget them, things I need to do to get ready to leave for three years.

Yes, indeed...
Something tells me I'm into something good.
